NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
DEER VALLEY VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the DEER VALLEY VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE and to the general public, that the DEER VALLEY VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE will hold a meeting open to the public on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 6:30 p.m., located at the Deer Valley Community Center, 2001 W. Wahalla Lane, Phoenix, Arizona.

 

Note:   

1.     Agenda items may be taken out of order.

2.     Anyone wishing to address an item on the agenda shall complete a speaker card.

3.     Due to the time required for the number of items, the following time limits are provided so that the Committee may give all the items the same level of attention:

A.         Staff report and recommendation

B.         Applicant - 15 minutes.

C.         Other interested parties - 15 minutes.

D.         Applicant response - 5 minutes.

E.         Floor closed - committee motion, discussion and vote.

 

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

 

1.	Call to Order and Roll Call.
2.	Review and approval of the October 15, 2009 meeting minutes.
3.	Public Comments concerning items not on the agenda (not for committee discussion or action).
	RECOMMENDATION & DISCUSSION ITEMS:
4.	Presentation and discussion on the city of Phoenix Shade and tree Master Plan. Presentation by an Urban forest Infrastructure Team representative of the Parks and Recreation Department.
5.	Presentation and discussion on the results of the first two General Plan Update activities. Presentation by Kelly Walker.
6.	Discussion and possible election of Officers for 2010 – Chair & Vice-Chair
7.	Discussion and possible action regarding the 2010 meeting schedule of the Deer Valley Village Planning Committee.
8.	Staff update on cases recently reviewed by the Committee (not for committee discussion or public input), and other announcements.
9	Committee member request for information, follow-up or future agenda items (not for committee discussion or action).
10.	Note that the next scheduled meeting is March 18, 2010.
11.	Adjournment.
